紳士録spam?

日本のスパマー，一人捕まったらしいですね．
迷惑メール送信で男逮捕＝22億件、2000万利益か−捕まると思わず・警視庁（時事通信） - Yahoo!ニュース から引用
どおりで最近，日本語のスパムメールが来ないわけだ :-P
だが，英語のスパムは相変わらず．今年に入って増えた気がする．
ところで，先日来た，某有名紳士録会社から？のメール．「あなたが2008年版紳士録に掲載対象になりましたので，経歴等を入力してください」的内容．
時々来るのだが，これは本気メールなのか，迷惑メールなのか？！
本当だとすれば，おお，私も遂に世界的著名人の仲間入り？！

有り難いんだけど・・・，どー考えても，自分は世界のトップ数十万人に入れるような高貴なご身分でもなければ，有名人でもない．残念ながら．ご町内トップテンも無理かも．
更に，もう使っていない職場の旧アドレス宛．と，言うわけで，怪しさ満点．
だが，文面はしっかりしているし，本家のサイトを見てみたが，メールに書かれている住所やディレクターの名前はContact usの内容と一致する．フィッシングだとすれば，実際に使われている文面をリンクだけ変えて出しているのだろうか．Who's whoのサイトには，この手のスパムに対する注意喚起のお知らせらしきモノはなかった．
ホントかな〜と思いつつ，実在する紳士録会社からのメールを装い個人情報を集めているのかな・・・という気もするし.というのも，リンク先がちと怪しい．ドメインを見ると，これまた本物によく似ているので，「もしかして？」と思ってしまうが，メールアドレスworld@*******whoswho.comのリンクまでhttpサイトアドレスが埋めてある．
何処にリンクしても，メールアドレスやその他の個人情報を集めるページが出るのかな．
疑う気満々なのだが，実際ネットで調べてみると，日本の研究者の方の業績にWho's whoに登録された，と書いている方もちらほら．文系の先生方が多いようだが，このメールが本物かどうかは別として，この紳士録に掲載されることは名誉なことらしい．
この手の紳士録詐欺は日本でも昔からあるそうな（やはり疑っている）．金と名誉に弱いのは人の常ですな．
まあ，いつかホントに，この紳士録会社から「掲載させてください！」というお便りが来るような，ひとかどの人物になれたらいいけどね．
そもそも紳士録というものすら，見たことが無いのだが．
どちらにしてもアメリカの会社のサイトって，通報しても返事してこないのだが，慣れっこなのか，対応するとかえって責任が生じてやっかいなのか．
